Merry Christmas!

It's been a busy week in year 4 with rehearsals, our shows and our class party. We are now ready for the Christmas break and everyone should have maths, literacy and spellings homework. Remember that the maths booklet is made up of questions on topics we have done this term - try and do as much as you can. You do not have to complete it all!

Finally, please remember to bring your PE kits with you on the first week back - you will need them on Thursday 9th January and PE will now be on Thursdays.

Have a relaxing holiday!

Our Viking Information Texts

Take a look at our Viking webpage designs! We used our Viking information writing to design our own webpage using Activ Inspire software on the computers. We thought carefully about the layout of our webpage, the content we would include and it's features. We even included extra facts and hyperlinks! Here are some examples of our work...

Did you enjoy our 'Moving Britain' topic? What did you learn about Britain today? What did you learn about Britain in the past? Please share your thoughts here.
Christmas party!

On Thursday we will be having our Emerald Class Christmas party - we can't wait!

Don't forget to bring in a some food to share!
What a busy Christmas week!

It was incredibly busy in Y4 Emerald last week and we have been getting into the Christmas spirit with many rehearsals for our Christmas Production. We are looking forward to seeing you in the audience!

In literacy and topic we finished off our Information Text unit and designed our own informative webpages all about the Vikings. We will be uploading them on here ... watch this space!

Exciting Skype News!

In year 4 we have started an exciting link up project with St Andrews CofE School in Uxbridge. First we exchanged emails to introduce ourselves and find out more about their school and learning. It was great fun picking up the emails and composing replies! We all had lots of questions to ask.

Year 4 then used Skype on the ipads to add their contacts, ready for a virtual meeting!

There was lots of excitement in the classroom as the Skype calls began to come through and children were connected. Some children were even giving each other tours of their classrooms!

We are really looking forward to hearing from pupils at St Andrews again soon....
